The Barça is preparing the return of a Moroccan international
FC Barcelona is considering the return of Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (Ez Abde) to make up for a possible departure of Marcus Rashford at the end of the season. The Moroccan winger, author of remarkable performances at Real Betis, is at the top of the list of targeted offensive reinforcements.
Since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, Ez Abde has established himself as the most regular element of the verdiblanco squad. His performance, considered at times "spectacular", has revived the interest of his former Catalan club where he had initially broken through thanks to his boldness and his ability to eliminate.
The future of the Moroccan international would however depend on the situation of Marcus Rashford. Although Barça has a purchase option of 30 million euros for the Englishman, budgetary constraints and the context of the elections, where Joan Laporta is the favorite, could favor internal solutions or the return of players trained at La Masia.
According to El Desmarque, the Catalan club retains 20% of the rights on a future sale of Ez Abde, a significant financial advantage for a possible transaction. At the same time, the profile of Jan Virgili, U20 international at RCD Mallorca and of which Barça holds half the rights, is also being monitored as a less expensive alternative.
The percentage held on Abde had been reduced during the definitive transfer of Vitor Roque to Brazil a year ago. If the market value of the Moroccan now largely exceeds the 7.5 million euros invested by the Seville club, his profile as a player already adapted to the Blaugrana system makes him a strategic priority.
