Baggage Delays Spark Protests at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport

It took nerves of steel yesterday, Friday, June 21, 2019, at the "Mohammed V" Airport in Casablanca. Many travelers, mostly Moroccans residing abroad, had to wait, sometimes for several hours, to recover their luggage.
This is the case, for example, of those arriving from Brussels-Zaventem Airport, whose Royal Air Maroc flight landed on time around 3pm in Casablanca. The problem was at the baggage level. It took more than two hours to be able to recover their belongings. As often, no information was provided to them, after an hour of waiting, tempers began to flare; a spontaneous demonstration was organized.
They will learn a little later that the employees in charge of the baggage have been on strike for several weeks, and that this is of course affecting Casablanca Airport. This strike movement is not about to stop. Those who plan to take the plane must take this possible inconvenience into account on their arrival.
