The Badr student case: serious pressures denounced on the key witness in prison

The file of the "son of a notable", accused of having fatally hit the student Badr in a parking lot in Casablanca in the summer of 2023, is entering a tense phase. According to his counsel, one of the co-accused would be subjected to repeated psychological violence within the prison of Benslimane, coinciding with his trips for his university exams.

This detainee occupies a central place in the proceedings: he confirmed before the judges that the main suspect was indeed at the wheel during the tragedy. Faced with the seriousness of these facts reported at the appeal stage, the defense demands the opening of a field investigation by the General Delegation for Prison Administration (DGAPR). For Ms. Ibrahimi, these maneuvers constitute flagrant violations of the rights of the defense and the "security of the will" of her client.
