Auction: Rapper Ali B’s Bentley sold for 67,000 euros by the State

The gavel fell virtually on Wednesday at 8:30 pm. The sale organized on the onlineveilingmeester.nl platform saw the 2017 Bentley Bentayga change hands for a fraction of its initial value. This speedster, which cost more than 220,000 euros when it left the factory, was liquidated on the orders of the State. The bidding saw a slight increase in the last few days, going from 62,000 euros last week to the final price retained.

The buyer is making a transaction in line with the reality of the market for a used vehicle. The SUV indeed displays 267,596 kilometers on the odometer, a significant distance that justifies the discount. Specialized websites like Marktplaats or Autoscout list similar models around 84,000 euros, but for much lower mileage, around 100,000 kilometers.

This transaction takes place in complete silence from the parties concerned. The tax authorities, the initiators of the sale, invoke the confidentiality of individual files, while Bart Swier, Ali B’s lawyer, remains silent. This liquidation takes place in a heavy judicial context for the Moroccan-born rapper, sentenced in July 2024 to two years in prison for rape and attempted rape, and who is currently awaiting his appeal trial.
