Attijariwafa Bank Named Safest in Africa for Second Year by Global Finance

Attijariwafa bank has just won for the 2nd consecutive year the award for "Safest Bank in Africa", awarded by the American magazine Global Finance. This new distinction adds to the award for "Best Investment Bank in Morocco", granted by the same magazine a few months ago.
In its 30th annual ranking of the world’s safest banks, the renowned American magazine Global Finance stated that in Africa, Attijariwafa Bank is still the "Safest Bank in Africa" for this year.
For its prestigious award, Global Finance based itself on an assessment of the long-term foreign currency ratings of "Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch" of the 500 largest banks in the world.
"The past year has demonstrated notable resilience in the banking sector, which has stood as a bulwark against collapse during the coronavirus pandemic, providing emergency financing to clients," said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance on this occasion.
"The safest banks are models of stability and continue to provide the necessary support to governments and communities seeking to recover from the shocks of the pandemic," he added.
