Aston Villa’s Bid for Moroccan Striker Hamdallah Blocked by Premier League Rules

The transfer of the former Moroccan international, Abderrazak Hamdallah, to the English club Aston Villa, during the winter transfer window, will not be effective. And for good reason.
According to the Premier League regulations, a non-European player cannot be transferred to the United Kingdom if he has not played 75% of the matches with his national team in the last three years, reports Al Akhbar. Abderrazak Hamdalah, who has retired from the Moroccan national team, does not meet this condition. Consequently, his transfer could not take place.
The same source indicates that the Saudi club An-Nassr has formally denied this information, specifying that the Aston Villa club has not made any transfer offer for the player. Moreover, Abderrazak Hamdalah is participating in training again after recovering from the flu.
The world’s top scorer in 2019 with 57 goals, Hamdallah outpaced Robert Lewandowski (54 goals) and Lionel Messi (51 goals).
