Arsenal’s Mesut Özil Donates $98,000 to Aid 114,000 During Ramadan Crisis

In this context of a global health crisis, the German player of Turkish origin, Mesut Özil, has donated a financial envelope of 80,000 pounds (90,000 euros) to the Turkish Red Crescent organization for the month of Ramadan.
With this donation, the organization will be able to offer Iftar to 16,000 Turkish and Syrian families thanks to 2,000 food parcels. Similarly, 90,000 people will be able to benefit from an Iftar in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The Turkish Red Crescent organization has stated that more than 114,000 people around the world will benefit from this aid from the Arsenal footballer.
"I would like to thank our brother, Mesut Özil, who has just expanded our circle of kindness. We will quickly put everything in place to help all the needy households... Our aid campaign continues; we can reach more households with your donations," said Kerem Kinik, director of the Turkish Red Crescent.
