Arsenal Loanee Exits Match in Tears After Racist Abuse in German Friendly

Jordi Osei-Tutu, on loan from Arsenal to Bochum, a club in the German 2nd division, was the victim on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, of racist remarks from an opposing player from St Gallen, Sliman Kchouk. It was during a preparatory match against the Swiss club. Affected by these degrading remarks, he left the pitch in tears.
Treated as a "fucking black" by an opposing player, Osei-Tutu had no choice but to leave the green rectangle, sobbing.
This low-level behavior, however, did not definitively keep him off the field. Osei-Tutu returned to finish the match. "No one should be subjected to discrimination," the 20-year-old player firmly stated.
For Jordy Osei-Tutu, supported by Arsenal and the English anti-discrimination group, the striker’s racial violence should not be a hindrance to the continuation of the match.
