Two Arrested in Drug-Related Double Homicide Near Nîmes, France

The case of the double murder of two young people in Marguerittes, near Nîmes, last June, has new twists and turns. The justice system has just apprehended two individuals involved in this case, after three months of investigation.
Three months after this double homicide that occurred in Marguerittes, we learn more about its ins and outs. Indeed, the justice system has just indicted two suspects.
The facts date back to the night of June 15 to 16 when two men of Moroccan origin had been found dead, each having received a bullet in the head, recalls 20minutes.fr.
The investigators who had no doubt about the premeditated nature of these crimes placed a third man under the status of assisted witness while two others, previously arrested, had to be released.
However, an investigation is still ongoing, in order to determine with certainty the reasons for these murders. According to the first elements of the investigation, several hypotheses make it possible to link this double murder to a drug trafficking between France, Spain and Morocco as well as to a white marriage.
However, Eric Maurel, Prosecutor of Nîmes, is still cautious about the real motives for this double murder which, according to him, still remain to be determined with certainty. "It could overlap several motives," he observes.
