US Approves $634 Million Missile Deal with Morocco, Boosting Air Defense Capabilities

New sophisticated "air-to-air" missiles will soon be delivered to the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). This is specified by a transaction carried out by the US Department of Defense, on behalf of the FAR, with Raytheon.
The news of this transaction is revealed by sources close to the Spanish Army, taken up by the daily Akhbar Al Yaoum. Indeed, it is a question of a transaction of 634 million dollars, concluded by the US Department of Defense, with the company Raytheon, for the manufacture of order No. 31, relating to sophisticated "air-to-air" missiles.
According to the same source, several actors and partners are involved in this market, including Morocco and Spain, as well as other allies of the United States of America.
These sophisticated "air-to-air" missiles, spare parts and aerospace systems will therefore be delivered to Morocco in early January 2020, the sources of the daily Akhbar Al Yaoum report. This will only confirm the supremacy of the FAR in Africa, as noted in the latest report from the US Department of Defense.
