Antigua and Barbuda Reaffirms Support for Morocco’s Sovereignty in Western Sahara Dispute

The Dominican Republic of Antigua and Barbuda reaffirmed, on Friday, January 10 in Rabat, its support for Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the presence of his counterpart from Antigua and Barbuda, Paul Chet Greene, currently on a visit to Rabat, the Moroccan diplomat noted that this position "is important in the meetings of the UN General Assembly and the meetings held by the Caribbean region on items on the agenda of the C-24 committee".
Nasser Bourita also welcomed the effective and active support of Antigua and Barbuda for Morocco’s positions at these various meetings. He did not fail to acknowledge that the last decade has been one of change, after the withdrawal by a dozen countries, including Antigua and Barbuda, of their recognition of the SADR. The next decade will be one of adopting an approach related to the Caribbean region. "We need to strengthen this achievement and translate this friendship into concrete projects that will have a medium-term impact. Antigua and Barbuda will play a fundamental role in this approach," the minister promised.
In addition, the two ministers signed an agreement in the form of a "cooperation roadmap program for the 2020-2022 period" in the sectors of training, agriculture and tourism.
