Animal Welfare Group Investigates Shocking Conditions at Moroccan Dog Shelter

The Moroccan Association for the Protection of Animals and Nature (AMPA), chaired by veterinarian Youssef Lhor, reacted to the shocking images and videos that would have been filmed in a "shelter" for stray dogs in Arjat, near Salé.
The publication by the municipal councilor from the Democratic Left Federation (FGD, opposition), Omar Hayani, of images filmed on site of dirty, dead dogs, surrounded by excrement and in a pitiful state in a center located near Salé, operating for several municipalities between Kénitra, Salé, Rabat and Témara, shocked thousands of Moroccans.
They called on the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Animals and Nature (AMPA), chaired by veterinarian Youssef Lhor, in charge of the local authorities to manage a new shelter for stray dogs and cats, to account for it. Following this call, the members of the association reacted by claiming that the images would be false.
