Ancient Cemetery Unearthed in Morocco: 5,000-Year-Old Artifacts Found Near Azilal

The National Institute of Archeology and Heritage Sciences will host the exhibition of about ten antique objects, over 5,000 years old, discovered in a cemetery in Bin El Ouidane near Azilal.
A team of researchers from an association working in the field of speleology made this discovery last week during surface excavations around the remains of a cemetery in Azilal, reports Barlamane. In addition to samples of human bone remains, the researchers also found pieces of clay and ancient utensils.
The director of the National Institute of Archeology and Heritage Sciences (INSAP), under the Ministry of Culture, went to the site to guide the operation of transferring the terracotta pottery, coins and metal fragments found to the INSAP, according to local sources.
