American Surfer's Paradise: Morocco's Taghazout Village Spotlighted in Travel Magazine

It is literally a travel journal that the American magazine "Traveller" has just dedicated to the village of Taghazout, located north of Agadir. It is a journalist passionate about surfing who invites the reader to discover a peaceful place known for its waves and the hospitality of its inhabitants.

"In the small village of Taghazout, on the west coast of Morocco, life has an unchanging rhythm," he writes, as if the memories of his getaway have remained suspended in time. "The hippies, wave enthusiasts, were the first to stumble upon the breaks of Taghazout [...].

The Moroccan village is today a kaleidoscope of surfers, fishermen and local rhythms," he recounts, charmed by the atypical landscape and the simple life of the inhabitants.

According to Aujourd’hui.ma, the journalist has been under the spell of this village, its culture, its imperfections which, for him, add to its beauty, for six years.

"I remember a wave that turned into a small glass wall of a glassy orange-blue, gently pushing me forward, relaxing and then rebuilding with magical energy. It was barely 15 seconds, but I can still see and feel it almost," he confides, in this intimate notebook punctuated by his many friendships with local surfers.
