American Journalist Praises Morocco’s Hospitality After World Cup Emotions

American sports journalist Nico Cantor, known for having burst into tears in front of the feat of the Atlas Lions at the World Cup, celebrates Moroccan hospitality and Moroccan values. He stayed in Morocco as part of the Club World Cup.
Nico Cantor is in love with Morocco and makes no secret of it. He went to the kingdom as part of the Club World Cup. In a post written in both English and Moroccan darija, the American sports journalist highlighted the great impact that Morocco’s historic run in the Qatar World Cup had on his life. "In Qatar, fate had it that an American-born journalist, with the Latino passion of his upbringing, would find himself face to face with the Moroccan national team. If it weren’t for this football miracle, my life wouldn’t be the same," Cantor tweeted.
After the match between Morocco and Portugal, won by the Atlas Lions, Nico Cantor had burst into tears. Morocco’s team had just qualified for the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in its history and became the first African team to reach this stage of the competition.
