Ali Baddou Exits France 5’s "C l’hebdo" for France Inter Weekend Show

Ali Baddou announced his departure from "C l’hebdo", a show he has hosted on France 5 since 2017. The journalist of Moroccan origin will be alongside Marion L’Hour on the France Inter weekend morning show next season.
The star host of "C l’hebdo" is leaving the show broadcast on Saturdays at 7pm on France 5. Ali Baddou will be at the helm of the France Inter weekend morning show, with Marion L’Hour, from the start of the new season. His replacement is not yet known. The name of Émilie Tran Nguyen, a former columnist on the show and the face of "C à vous", is circulating, but France Télévisions is hesitant to confirm this choice, reports Le Parisien.
Ali Baddou’s departure from "C l’hebdo" comes after that of columnist Pierre-Emmanuel Barré in January, after only three columns, one of which was against Cyril Hanouna. Jean-Michel Aphatie, one of the show’s historical columnists, had also slammed the door. He will be on Yann Barthès’ "Quotidien" show on TMC next season. The production company of "C l’hebdo" is studying new projects to carry out with Ali Baddou.
The journalist is also leaving the presentation of the "Grand face à face", a show he hosted on Saturdays at 12pm on the public radio. The show will now be hosted by Thomas Snégaroff, reported "Télérama" last week.
