Algerian Official Expelled from UN Meeting After Anti-Morocco Comments

At the request of Majda Moutchou, Morocco’s representative to the UN, the president of the National Union of Algerian Women, Nouria Hafsi, was expelled Tuesday from a meeting of the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly in New York, after attacking Morocco, which she described as a "colonial" monarchy.
The Moroccan diplomat asked to stop this hostile discourse against Morocco and to expel the Algerian representative from this meeting. UN police (UNPOL) quickly intervened and asked the Algerian official to leave the room.
Since her appointment as Minister Plenipotentiary to the Permanent Mission of Morocco to the UN, Majda Moutchou has always been able to provide a firm response to the very often provocative and anti-Moroccan remarks of Algerian representatives during the various debates within the UN Security Council in New York.
Furthermore, during this meeting, a group of young Moroccan Sahrawis and elected officials from the southern provinces of Morocco called for the recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara, welcoming the ongoing dynamic of support for the Moroccan autonomy plan for the Sahara, considered the "most viable and credible" solution to resolve this conflict.
