Algerian-Moroccan Collaboration: Musicians Unite for Cross-Border Harmony

The Algerian group Babylon has just unveiled its new clip in which the Moroccan Salim Cravata participated. Beyond an artistic partnership, the song calls for reconciliation, for brotherhood between Algeria and Morocco.
"El youm âarssak" (today is your celebration), is the title of this new clip. The barriers imposed by Covid-19 could not prevent this cultural and artistic moment between the group Babylon and the singer Salim Cravata. "Each of us had recorded in his own country," explains Amine Babylon. For the latter, this clip carries the seeds of peace and reconciliation. "With my friend Salim, we wanted to give the image of the brotherhood that exists between the two brother peoples of the Great Maghreb, Algeria and Morocco, through this Algerian-Moroccan song. We are artists and we want to sing together to show that there is no difference between our two peoples," reports El Watan.
This new song is a musical variety, a subtle blend of pop, ballad, raï and finally a Mediterranean air. In addition to this clip, Babylon has other projects on which he is working.
Before becoming Amine Babylon, he rubbed shoulders with the local music group Iyourayène. "It was with them that I had started to discover the musical techniques. I developed, it was the takeoff for me and I started working in the musical field," he specifies.
