Algerian Man Fatally Shot While Attempting to Break Up Fight in France

A young Algerian, named Zoheir, died on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in France, simply by trying to separate two young people who were arguing.
Zoheir, 24, noticing a quarrel that was getting worse between two individuals, one of whom was a minor who went to call his father for help, received a bullet to the chest from a semi-automatic .22 long rifle. This is what happened to this young man of Algerian origin in Raon-l’Etape, in the Vosges, in France, in his desire to restore peace and tranquility around him.
Aggravating factor: the shooter, Lionel C., had even gone so far as to kick the victim, according to the Deputy Prosecutor of the Regional Court, who now speaks of "proven racism". Indicted for "aggravated murder", this 46-year-old man was remanded in custody.
As for Zoheir, his remains are to be repatriated to Algeria for his burial, after the usual formalities. Before that, a white march will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2019, to pay tribute to him, for whom an online kitty of 7,300 euros has been mobilized to finance the repatriation costs.
