An Algerian journalist trapped while manufacturing fake reviews about Morocco

The scene, widely shared on social media in the last few hours, is damning for the reporter present in Morocco to cover the Algeria-Burkina Faso match. While the technical team was preparing a live cross near the stadium, the correspondent’s microphone inadvertently remained open, capturing the less than glorious behind-the-scenes of the intervention. Far from trying to gather the spontaneous feelings of the fans, the field reporter engaged in a real staging.

On the recording, one can clearly hear the journalist giving strict instructions to the Algerian supporters surrounding him. He explicitly asks them to play act in front of the camera: they must claim that there is a "ticketing crisis" and strongly complain about the organization. These directives came even as the atmosphere on site seemed fluid and without any particular problems. The purpose of the maneuver seemed clear: to create a controversy out of thin air in order to tarnish the image of the welcome in Morocco.

If the management of El Heddaf has not yet reacted to this "bad buzz", the video is already fueling debates on the credibility of certain media covering the event and on their deliberate desire to harm the image of the host country.
