Before the clash, Petković gives a huge compliment to Morocco

Before playing his place in the quarter-finals, the coach of Algeria took the time to salute the quality of the organization. Vladimir Petković described the stadiums and infrastructure of Morocco as "world-class", emphasizing their positive impact on the spectacle offered during this AFCON.

Present in Rabat before the round of 16 clash against the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Fennecs’ coach was full of praise for the host country. For him, if the technical level of the tournament is so high, it is largely thanks to the quality of the pitches and the equipment made available, whether for official matches or training sessions.

These optimal conditions have allowed the African selections to give the best of themselves and to offer a "remarkable image" of continental football. A significant recognition coming from an experienced coach, on the eve of a decisive match at the Moulay El Hassan stadium.

A tricky round of 16 against the DRC

If the setting is ideal, the match promises to be tough. Petković remains cautious in the face of a DRC that he considers "strong and homogeneous". Despite a flawless group stage performance (three wins), Algeria is expecting a physical battle against Leopards used to high-level battles.

"We must be cautious and raise our level of concentration," warned the coach, while affirming that he believes in his chances. The same message from midfielder Ismaël Bennacer, who confirms that the team is going through a good period and will do everything to validate their ticket for the quarter-finals.
