The mosques in the city of Melilla will soon come under the tutelage of Algeria. To this end, the Spanish authorities of Melilla and elements of the Algerian intelligence services are multiplying secret meetings. All this is organized without the control of the Moroccan authorities.
According to the daily Assabah, cited by the360, the preludes to this affair are taking place between Spaniards, a Moroccan and the Algerian military intelligence services.
The objective, affirms the media, is to "bring the mosques of the occupied presidium of Melilla into the sphere of influence of the generals of Algiers".
Last Wednesday, October 9, at the "Maison de l’Algérie" located in Valencia, affirms the daily, a meeting had brought together Moroccans and Spaniards, to discuss the urgent arrangements to "seize the mosques of Melilla".
The profiles of the people present at this meeting leave no doubt as to the purpose of the project in question. We could mention a Moroccan affiliated with the Islamist group "Annour", and Houria Sahili, General Coordinator of the Arab Socialists and President of the "Maison de l’Algérie".
This woman is also the representative of the National Liberation Front (FLN) in Spain, notes the same source, which has tangible evidence, including photos and precise data on this matter.
Among the major decisions taken at this meeting, it is planned that the Algerian officials will mark the offensive by multiplying the field visits.
In the wake, the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs and Waqfs is committed to renovating and equipping two mosques in the city, with a view to "supervising their daily management and appointing Algerian imams who can deliver the Friday sermons in Spanish".
Here, in particular, the daily specifies that the Moroccan Minister of Habous and Religious Affairs is officially in charge of the management of the "Tausori" mosque located in the center of the city.
However, 11 mosques are under the authority of the city, while the Friday sermons are led by Moroccan imams.
