Algerian-French Singer Faudel Condemns Controversial Caricature of Morocco’s King

The prince of raï, Faudel Belloua, has called on the Moroccan and Algerian peoples to condemn the practices of the Echourouk channel, which has attacked the person of King Mohammed VI.
The singer deplores the attitude of the Algerian channel, which has deliberately sought to create a climate of tension and confrontation between two brotherly peoples. In a publication on Instagram, which he titled "Khaoua Khaoua", Faudel condemned the broadcast of a satirical caricature of the sovereign.
"As a citizen of Algeria, France and Morocco, I refuse that anyone attacks the person of King Mohammed VI. The kingdom is a model of tolerance and hospitality, and does not pass judgment on others," stressed the performer of "Tellement N’brik".
Last Friday, the Algerian channel Echorouk broadcast a satirical program, targeting the symbols of the kingdom, in particular King Mohammed VI. For the Moroccan Federation of Newspaper Publishers, the Algerian channel has shown "pure and simple insolence." It is a "gross attack on the dignity and respect due to a Head of State."
