Algerian TV Alleges Moroccan Football Chief Used Spyware on CAF Officials

In a report broadcast in French, the Algerian public channel accused the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, of using the Pegasus software to spy on the officials of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Without providing any evidence, the Algerian public channel accuses Fouzi Lekjaa of corruption, claiming that the president of the FRMF owes his success to the Pegasus software, which he would use to spy on CAF officials and control the governing body of African football. Unfounded accusations in the sense that if Lekjaa controlled the CAF, the Moroccan national team would have won the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
In its report, the Algerian public channel also accused Lekjaa of providing exceptional financial support to the Renaissance sportive de Berkane, a club that has never won the Botola, nor the African Champions League since Lekjaa has been leading the Moroccan football federation. Why didn’t Fouzi Lekjaa use this espionage software to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when the Atlas Lions reached the semi-finals?, some commentators on the channel wondered.
Observers denounced what they consider to be absurdities and delusions launched by the Algerian military regime, believing that this propaganda against Morocco is blatant proof of the failure of the Algerian authorities in all areas, at a time when the kingdom is chaining diplomatic successes regarding the Sahara and restoring the luster of its football.
