Algeria U-17 Women’s Team Arrives in Morocco for World Cup Qualifier Match

The Algerian women’s under-17 football team has been in Morocco since Monday where it is preparing for the match scheduled for Friday against its Moroccan counterpart as part of the third round of the qualifiers for the Women’s World Cup in that category.
The Algerian delegation arrived on Monday at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, from where it took a flight to Oujda. From there, it boarded a bus to Berkane, the city that will host this meeting.
The Algerian women’s team should hold two training sessions at the Saïdia Federal Center before the match, informs the Algerian Football Federation, specifying that a final session will take place at the Berkane municipal stadium where it will cross crampons with the Lionesses of the Atlas.
This match takes place in a particular context. Recently, USM Alger refused to play the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup against Renaissance sportive de Berkane because of the Moroccan team’s jersey featuring a map of Morocco including the Sahara. Will the Algerian U-17s do the same?
