Algeria to Repatriate Citizens Stranded in Morocco Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Algerians stranded at Casablanca airport in Morocco due to the Coronavirus will soon be repatriated to their country. This is a decision by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Algerians stranded on Moroccan soil due to the Coronavirus will be able to return to their country. This is indicated in a press release from the Algerian Presidency.
According to the press release, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has instructed his collaborators, in particular the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Public Works and Transport, to proceed with the census and necessary steps for the repatriation of compatriots who are on Moroccan territory.
This repatriation should be the logical consequence of the ongoing census of Algerians since last Friday and their care. The Algerians trapped in Morocco will therefore be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Still in the implementation of preventive measures against COVID-19, it was decided last Thursday to temporarily suspend air links between Morocco and Algeria, jointly by the two governments. The Moroccan government is multiplying preventive measures with a view to countering the virus.
