Algeria Plans to Sell Surplus Electricity to Morocco and Tunisia Through Spanish Market

"The issue of electricity exports is an old one, it goes back several years. The novelty in this file is that Algeria will go to the market to sell its surplus electricity to Tunisia and Morocco," he said in a statement to the APS news agency.
"This surplus, we will commercialize it, we must be ready for that with the preparation of the networks and the implementation of the necessary protection measures in order to sell, provided that it is put on the market," he added, recalling that his country has an electrical capacity of 19,000 megawatts, and a surplus of 9,000 megawatts in winter.
