Algeria has stopped supplying gas to Spain due to an incident on the Spanish side of the Medgaz, the gas pipeline that connects the two countries.
The Algerian company, Sonatrach, stated in a press release that Algeria has stopped exporting gas to Spain due to an incident on the Spanish side of the Medgaz, specifying that it was not responsible for it, reports Ultima Hora.
Algeria has repeatedly threatened to turn off the gas tap to Spain since Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez decided to support the Moroccan autonomy plan for the Sahara. This incident on the Medgaz has been seen by many analysts as the implementation of the Algerian threat.
