Algeria Erects Iron Fence Along Moroccan Border, Heightening Tensions

Algeria has erected an iron fence along the Bin Lejraf border area with Morocco. This has given rise to divergent interpretations among citizens of the two peoples.
Are tensions between Morocco and Algeria going to intensify? The Algerian authorities have erected an iron fence along the Bin Lejraf border area; a point where the Algerian territory and the Moroccan territory are separated by only a few meters, we learn. This fence is added to the barbed wire already present at this border point. This leaves room for many interpretations.
The installation of this fence would be justified by security concerns aimed at preventing movements between the two banks. Others see a link with the continuing hostile political positions towards Morocco, aimed at hindering communication between the peoples.
Bin Lejraf is a meeting point for many Moroccan and Algerian families with their relatives on the other side. For now, this border area remains the meeting place for dozens of Algerians and Moroccans. They exchange civilities and take photos.
