Algeria Cries Foul Over Refereeing in U17 CAN Quarter-Final Loss to Morocco

Algeria lost its match against Morocco (0-3) on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the U17 CAN. A home defeat that the Algerian press has not digested, criticizing the refereeing.
During the first half of the match, the young Fennecs suffered the pressure of the Lionceaux de l’Atlas who were leading the score. But the Algerian players missed an opportunity to equalize and get back into the game due to a penalty not whistled by the referee, believes Fennec football, specifying that an Algerian player was seriously injured on a dangerous action in the Moroccan area, which did not provoke any reaction from the referee.
In the second half as well, the Libyan referee refrained from whistling a foul on an Algerian player who was hit hard in the action that led to Morocco’s second goal, the same source points out. The Lionceaux de l’Atlas then hammered the nail with a third goal at the end of the game, disqualifying Algeria and moving on to the semi-finals of the U17 CAN.
