Algeria Accused of Spreading Fake Document to Undermine Morocco-Israel Relations

How far will Algeria go to try to discredit Morocco? The latest maneuver is the invention of a fake official document on alleged Moroccan military personnel.
"Algeria publishes a fake document alleging the death of Moroccan officers in Israel. This open maneuver follows the spread of the news of the death of Algerian officers in Iran. Once again, Algeria reveals that it is still using false and cheap propaganda to attack Morocco," can be read in a post published on X by the account LouiseFrance75, accompanied by the document in question. This falsified document - allegedly issued on June 20 by the Moroccan diplomatic authorities - "seeks to short-circuit the reader’s critical mind to anchor him in a binary narrative: that of a Morocco complicit with Israel and therefore betraying the Palestinian cause."
Algerian, Iranian and Polisario-linked accounts have widely disseminated the fabricated document, noted the Moroccan media Barlamane, noting that "this apocryphal production goes beyond the classic field of disinformation. By substituting fiction for diplomatic fact, it aims to acclimatize a hostility of an ethno-confessional nature in the collective imagination, maintained since the events of October 7 by the Algerian regime. Anti-Semitism is not presented there as a marginal opinion, but as a doctrine supposedly validated by the State."
For the time being, no official source has communicated on the dissemination of this falsified document.
