Algeciras Port Implements Mandatory Vehicle Reservations for Summer Travel

The Port Authority of Algeciras has announced that travelers wishing to embark with their vehicles, as part of the Marhaba Operation, will have to compulsorily obtain a ticket.
"This summer, Algeciras will require a closed ticket for passengers with vehicles wishing to embark at the port," the Port Authority of Algeciras said in a statement. On Wednesday, the Provincial Steering Committee of the Marhaba Operation 2022 in the ports of Algeciras and Tarifa and on the roads of the province was set up, reports Ceuta actualidad.
The general coordinator of the Marhaba Operation, Francisco Ruiz Boada, deputy director general of prevention, planning and emergencies of the Directorate General of Civil Protection of the Ministry of the Interior, stressed the importance of the closed ticket for travelers arriving at the port of Algeciras, but did not insist on the compulsory nature of the measure that has just been highlighted by the Port Authority of Algeciras.
The port of Tarifa was the first to announce compulsory embarkation with a closed ticket, both for passengers without vehicles and for those with vehicles.
