Alarming Rise in Virtual Prostitution Among Moroccan Youth on Social Media

Prostitution, particularly virtual, is no longer the preserve of sex workers. Combining discretion and ease of access, the phenomenon is taking on alarming proportions among young Moroccan women.
Social networks have become the Eldorado for lovers of encounters and carnal pleasures. It only takes a few hours on the web to realize the extent of the scourge.
It is often young women, eager to fill their wardrobes or plunge into a supposedly luxurious life, who expose their physical assets on Facebook, Instagram or other applications, to attract as many clients as possible.
Some intend to assume a dual role. In the evening, they manage their networks like community managers, while maintaining their meager livelihood during the day. Others, on the other hand, do not hesitate to initiate themselves into the profession under false profiles.
For the site Akhbarona, this phenomenon, a sign of moral depravity, should be a major concern for the authorities. In the absence of deterrent measures, the scourge risks taking on alarming proportions and becoming a real threat to children.
