Moroccan Women Targeted by Online Job Scam Linked to International Prostitution Ring

Moroccan women unwittingly caught up in an international prostitution network. They are lured through a new instant messaging app designed for job search.
All means are good to lure young women into the ruthless world of the oldest profession in the world: prostitution. An international network that excels in this field has found a diabolical way to recruit several Moroccan women. The process begins with a Facebook post, inviting girls who want to work from home to contact the poster privately, who is nothing but a pimp.
She explains to her victims that the first step is to download an app through which the work will be done. An action that seems harmless but propels those who are tempted into exchanges with pimps for money. But things end up leading to frenzied webcam scenes, which are paid for on a weekly basis, reports Assabah.
Thus, the first communications (video calls) are paid at 135 dirhams per minute and can reach up to 360 dirhams. A good deal, think these girls, who, eager to earn more, prolong the communication as long as possible. Once the climate of trust is established, all excesses are crossed to keep the client online.
It is once engaged that the girl communicates her contact details and a copy of her national identity card to her "employer". The transfers are made through a money transfer agency every Thursday. According to the same source, "this app is attracting more and more Moroccan women who manage to seduce many clients on the web".
