Ajax’s Ziyech Aims to Shine Against Lille in Crucial Champions League Clash

The Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, intends to surpass himself tonight against Lille with his club, Ajax Amsterdam. This match is part of the 6th round of the group stage of the European competition.
Erik Ten Hag’s protégé is serene as he awaits the confrontation with Lille. Although concerned by the absence of some key members of the group, who left during the transfer window or are unavailable due to injury, the talented Ajax player hopes to take up the challenge of this evening.
To this end, he is counting on his teammate Quincy Promes to achieve the feat. With the Dutchman, Ziyech had delivered two assists on Saturday against Heracles Almelo. "We know each other through the youth teams of the Dutch national team. We have a lot of creativity, I shoot, he runs and we find each other easily. We reward each other mutually," says the young Moroccan-Dutch player.
The 2017 Eredivisie Player of the Year also wants to collaborate with his compatriot Zakaria Labyad, replacing the injured David Neres, to win the victory with his team against Lille tonight.
Welcomed at the Lille central station, Ziyech was applauded by dozens of young French people of Moroccan origin who chanted his name.
