Ajax Removes Ziyech’s €30M Release Clause, Boosting Transfer Value

Ajax Amsterdam has removed the release clause of the Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, previously set at 30 million euros. The good performances of the Atlas Lion are driving up the bidding.
European clubs will have to pay dearly to recruit the Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, into their squad, reports the Dutch daily De telegraaf.
The reason is that since Marc Overmars, Football Director of Ajax Amsterdam, extended the contract of the Atlas Lion last August until 2022, European clubs can no longer contract with only 30 million euros, indicates the same source.
With this new arrangement, Marc Overmars can be more demanding on the price of the new release clause. He could ask for 50 million euros, as was the case with his Dutch international Donny van de Beek, or even more.
Hachim Ziyech put in a fine performance in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 1, in the match between his club and Valencia. This match ended in a victory for Ajax (1-3).
