Ajax’s Mazraoui Addresses Transfer Rumors Amid Reduced Playing Time

Following a wild rumor that places him on the transfer list, Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui, a member of Ajax Amsterdam, has spoken out and provided details about his future.
Noussair Mazraoui no longer enjoys significant playing time. This has led the international press to report that he would be on the list of the club’s upcoming departures. Under contract with Ajax Amsterdam until 2022, the Moroccan has spoken well of himself this past season in the Champions League, particularly in the matches against Bayern Munich and Benfica.
This season, the young Atlas Lion, aged 22, is not yet at the top of his performance in his position, which leaves room for comments on his relaunch with another club.
In an interview with the daily Omroep West, the defender said he wanted to continue to play under the colors of Ajax, although he is flattered by the offer of many clubs. A few months ago, Mazraoui was tracked by many European clubs, including Tottenham in England, Valencia in Spain, and AS Roma in Italy. But the latter seems, at least for now, to have a clear idea of the next step in his career.
"I am currently focused on my career with Ajax, and I am not at all interested in other clubs," he insisted, adding that what concerns him now is to play and leave the rest of his affairs in the hands of his agent, Mark Overmars, the sporting director of Ajax. This should put an end to the speculation and other rumors.
