Ajax Dominates Valencia 3-0 in Champions League, Ziyech Scores Early Stunner

For the second matchday of the Champions League group H, Ajax Amsterdam went to win on the field of FC Valencia with a clear score of 3-0, thanks to goals from Ziyech in the 8th minute, Promes in the 34th and Van de Beek in the 66th minute. The Dutch took advantage of this to consolidate their position as group leaders, as they are now the only ones to have recorded two wins in a row.
Through the fluidity of the game developed, the Dutch players gave themselves all the means to secure the victory.
This allowed Hakim Ziyech to put his team on track as early as the 8th minute of play. Hespress writes that Valencia could have come back into the game on a penalty generously awarded by the referee, D. Orsato, but captain Dani Parejo missed this opportunity for his team.
Ziyech and his teammates took advantage of this to widen the gap further and to keep their comfortable lead until the end of the match.
For the record, last summer, Valencia had expressed its intention to recruit the Moroccan, but he politely declined, saying he wanted a much bigger challenge. Some had described this reaction as arrogant.
