Air France and Transavia Boost Morocco Flights for Winter Tourism Season

After Royal Air Maroc, Easyjet and Ryanair, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has announced a new agreement with Air France and its subsidiary Transavia. The objective is to ensure a large number of flights for the winter tourist season, particularly during the year-end period.
The ONMT wants to save the next tourist season after the resounding failure of the summer season. In a press release, the ONMT announces the strengthening, this month, of air links between France and Morocco. They will be operated by Air France and Transavia for a total capacity of nearly 200,000 seats.
In detail, the French low-cost carrier plans several flights from four European cities, namely Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes and Paris for 16 routes totaling 25,704 seats. In total, Transavia wants to operate a 57% recovery of the seat capacity planned for the winter period, i.e. a capacity of 123,695 seats to connect Marrakech to Paris Orly, Lyon, Montpellier and Nantes; Agadir to Paris Orly, Lyon, and Nantes as well as Fez, Tangier, Essaouira and Ouarzazate to Paris Orly.
As for the Air France company, it wants to ensure a capacity of more than 23,000 seats from Paris CDG to Marrakech, Rabat and Casablanca with an increase in frequencies during the holiday periods. According to the same press release, there are 402 frequencies and more than 66,000 seats programmed by Air France for the winter season 2020/2021 between Morocco and France.
