Air Cairo to Launch Direct Flights Between Cairo and Tangier in October

The Egyptian airline Air Cairo plans to launch a new route between Cairo and Tangier at the end of October. It will be the only airline on this route.
As of October 31, 2023, Air Cairo will connect its Cairo base to Tangier-Ibn Battouta Airport, with two weekly flights, reports Aeroroutes. These flights will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft with 174 seats. Departures are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 6:45 pm to arrive at 11:15 pm. As for the return flights, they will depart Egypt on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:15 am to land at 6:05 am. Tangier will thus become the second destination of the Egyptian company in Morocco, where it already operates flights between Casablanca and Alexandria.
More than 35 international destinations, mainly in the Middle East and Africa but also including Paris, Lyon and Nantes (from Luxor) or Milan among others last summer, are served by Air Cairo’s network. Its fleet includes 30 aircraft including six ATR 72-600, three Embraer 190, nine A320 and twelve A320neo, Air Journal also recalls.
