Agricultural Exports Surge Amid Pandemic: Clementines and Vegetables Lead Growth

Unlike other products, agricultural product exports have recorded good performance during the health crisis due to the coronavirus, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
As for clementine exports, they stood at 106,600 tons as of November 22 (from September 1 to November 22, 2020), an increase of 60% compared to the same period of the previous campaign. According to the same press release, the export campaign forecasts a good vintage for clementines and citrus fruits.
Regarding vegetable products, exports amounted to 214,500 tons during the 2020-2021 campaign (as of November 22), an increase of 15% compared to the previous campaign. As for tomato exports, they recorded an increase of 3%, i.e. a volume of 117,400 tons.
As for peppers and chili peppers, exports reached a volume of 19,400 tons, an increase of 27% compared to the 2019-2020 campaign. Raspberry exports, for their part, amounted to 6,500 tons, an increase of 17%.
