Agadir Sees Surge in Furnished Apartment Rentals as New Year’s Eve Hotel Ban Shifts Celebrations

Rents for furnished apartments have skyrocketed in Agadir due to the influx of revelers, after the ban on organizing New Year’s Eve festivities in hotels and tourist establishments.
In order to avoid the spread of Covid-19, particularly the new Omicron variant, the government has banned the organization of New Year’s Eve festivities in hotels, restaurants and all tourist establishments. This decision has pushed revelers, young and old, to rent furnished apartments to party and get together with friends until the end of the night, reports Al Massae.
Demand has thus become strong to the point that many of them were unable to find rented furnished apartments. Almost all apartments were rented on the eve of the new year. Some will have to wait until next week to be able to rent one. As a result, prices have soared in many cities, especially in Agadir.
