The commemorative activities for the 62nd anniversary of the reconstruction of the city of Agadir following the painful earthquake of February 29, 1960, were launched on Monday, in the capital of Souss.
On this occasion, the official delegation made a visit to the former headquarters of Bank Al-Maghrib, which will be converted into the Museum of Reconstruction and Memory of the City of Agadir. This project plans to reconstitute all the architectural elements and the restoration of the interior structure of the building, its design, its decorations and ornaments.
As is customary, the members of the delegation went to the Ihchach cemetery, to attend the annual ritual of supplications and prayers of mercy for the souls of the martyrs who succumbed on the night of February 29, 1960. They also paid tribute to the armed forces.
