Agadir Launches Hotel Renovation Grant Program to Boost Tourism Infrastructure

In Agadir, hoteliers and tourism accommodation professionals are once again invited to submit their grant application to benefit from government support in order to upgrade their infrastructure. Part of the renovation costs is covered.
This involves the granting of a financial subsidy of up to 30% of the total cost of renovating the establishment, capped at 10 million DH and personalized technical support, said the regional development company (SDR) in a press release.
The disbursement of renovation funds is divided into four stages: the release of 20% of the subsidy for a 20% progress of the work, 30% once the progress reaches 50%, 25% for 75% progress of the site, and 25% at the end of the project.
Among the other technical details, companies, natural or legal persons under Moroccan law presenting a renovation program for a classified tourist accommodation establishment, meeting certain conditions, can benefit from this subsidy, namely to have been in continuous or discontinuous operation for at least 5 years.
The renovation program aims to diversify and thematize the tourist offer, accompany international trends, upgrade the tourist product and improve the competitiveness of the sector, concludes the SDR.
