Agadir Beaches Reopen After 5-Month COVID Closure, Access Limited

Finally some good news for the residents of Agadir and its surroundings. The provincial authorities have just announced the reopening of the beaches starting Monday, March 29, 2021.
These beaches have remained closed for more than five months due to the state of health emergency and the increase in coronavirus cases. This decision is the result of the meeting of the Regional Vigilance Committee, held on March 24 at the headquarters of the Souss Massa region. Although official, it frames the access times, from seven o’clock in the morning to six o’clock in the evening.
To recall, the provincial authorities of Agadir had in the meantime ordered the closure of neighborhood businesses, stores, cafes and salons at eight o’clock in the evening, under penalty of a fine or administrative closure.
