African Players Granted Extended Club Time Before AFCON 2022

FIFA has announced that African internationals selected by their national coach to participate in the Africa Cup can play with their clubs until January 3, instead of December 27.
This notably concerns African players from the Premier League and those playing in France, FIFA said in a letter addressed to the European Club Association (ECA), leagues and European federations.
Initially scheduled for this Monday, December 27, the release of players for the selections has been extended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) until January 3 inclusive, to allow them to play the Boxing Day in England and the round of 16 of the Coupe de France, for those playing in France.
This decision is made in a spirit of goodwill and solidarity with the clubs concerned given the fact that they have been affected by the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, it was written in the letter.
For Morocco, four players summoned by Vahid Halilhodzic play in the Premier League. They are Romain Saïss (Wolverhampton, England), Adam Masina (Watford, England), Imrân Louza (Watford, England), and Ilias Chair (Queens Park Rangers, England).
