Africa Cup of Nations 2024: Prize Money Soars as Morocco Eyes Victory
The bonuses that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will distribute to the teams that shine at the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) to be held from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire, are known. Morocco, a semi-finalist at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, is among the favorites for the continental tournament.
Huge bonuses await the teams that achieve good performances at CAN 2024. The winning team will receive a check from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for $7 million, a significant increase of 40% compared to the previous edition held in Cameroon in 2021. The second finalist team will receive $4 million. The semi-finalist teams will each receive $2.5 million.
