Afghan Airspace Chaos: Airlines Suspend Flights as Taliban Takes Control

Several airlines have suspended overflights of Afghanistan because the airspace of Kabul will no longer be controlled following the return of the Taliban to power. What about Royal Air Maroc?
In a notice published on its website on Monday, the Afghan Civil Aviation Authority (AACA) urged airlines to avoid passing through the airspace of the capital Kabul, which is now uncontrolled. The publication of this notice follows the resumption of power in Kabul. Some companies have taken this notice seriously and are already suspending overflights of Afghanistan.
We can mention the companies Austrian Airlines, Brussel Airlines and Eurowings of the European airline group Lufthansa, Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air India and Terra Avia, etc. Emirates has suspended its flights to Kabul until further notice. Even before the AACA announcement, United Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic had stopped overflying Afghan airspace.
Has Royal Air Maroc (RAM) done the same? No air route of the national airline overflies Afghanistan, said a well-informed source at RAM to SNRTnews. This change of itinerary therefore does not concern the company. However, this will have an impact on the duration of journeys to destinations, particularly Bangkok, Delhi or Singapore.
