Actor Saïd Taghmaoui Attacked in LA Watch Robbery Attempt, Posts Emotional Video

Moroccan actor Saïd Taghmaoui was violently assaulted in Los Angeles by criminals who wanted to steal his Patek Philippe Nautilus watch. The Franco-Moroccan posted a video shared on social media, in which he handles the luxury watch and films a deep cut on his arm.
"They wanted to steal this from me," and "it’s very deep," the actor confesses, showing his watch and his injury in turn before bursting into tears. "This is Los Angeles, my brother, you have to be careful," he adds in the short sequence widely shared on social media. The video was taken up by rapper Booba who notably wrote: "You’re a street guy in France but you’re not a street guy in L.A bro."
The specialized site Raprnb.com points out that "the two artists have maintained great tension for several years and never miss an opportunity to attack each other." At 47 years old, Saïd Taghmaoui had been revealed to the general public in 1995 in the film La Haine by Mathieu Kassovitz. Since then, he has had time to forge a reputation by appearing in about forty films including Three Kings, alongside George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, or in the Hollywood blockbuster Wonder Woman.
In January 2019, he becomes the ambassador of Christophe Claret watches, a prestigious Swiss watchmaking house. As for the Nautilus watches, from the also Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe, they are worth several tens of thousands of euros.
