The defender’s lawyer, Me Fanny Colin, maintains that the case rests solely on the word of a woman who allegedly “obstructed all investigations.” The defense claims that the complainant refused medical examinations, DNA testing and the analysis of her mobile phone.

According to the player’s counsel, two psychological assessments allegedly revealed a lack of clear judgment on the complainant’s part and the absence of post-traumatic stress disorder. She also accuses the young woman of attempting to conceal messages planning to “strip” the high-level athlete of his assets.

In response, the civil party’s lawyer, Rachel-Flore Pardo, denounced “slanderous” and insulting remarks. She explained that her client went to the police station on the very day of the alleged events to report them, although she did not file a formal complaint immediately.

The complainant’s legal team emphasizes that the referral is based on “consistent and detailed statements” and numerous material elements, including text messages. It also highlights contradictions in Achraf Hakimi’s accounts and in the testimony of some of his relatives.

Rachel-Flore Pardo also criticized the trivialization of sexual violence in men’s football. She regretted that such cases are often reduced to financial schemes, asserting that her client is the victim, not the player.
